Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions? You're not alone.

Below you'll find answers to common questions about how I work, who I support, and what to expect. If something's not covered, you're always welcome to contact me directly below.

1. What is neuro-affirming nutrition care?

Neuro-affirming nutrition care recognises that everyone experiences food, body, and wellbeing differently. Whether or not you identify as neurodivergent, support is tailored to your needs, pace, and preferences. It’s collaborative, flexible, and practical, helping you feel confident with food and your body.

2. I struggle with meal planning and feeling overwhelmed. Can you help?

Yes, absolutely. We explore strategies that suit your lifestyle, from managing decision fatigue and routines to planning meals and snacks, all at a pace that feels right for you.

3. What is intuitive eating, and is it suitable for me?

Intuitive eating is a flexible, non-diet approach to food. It encourages self-trust, curiosity, and building a respectful relationship with your body. Even if your hunger cues feel irregular or subtle, we adapt the principles to work for your life.

4. How does 1:1 coaching work?

We start with a Foundations Session to explore your goals and needs. After this, 1:1 sessions are usually weekly or biweekly, tailored to your lifestyle. Together, we focus on patterns around food and body, practical strategies, and building a trusting relationship with food.

5. Will I be expected to follow a specific diet or plan?

No. There are no restrictive diets or compulsory plans. We create practical strategies that suit your lifestyle and support nourishment at your pace.

6. Is this approach suitable if I have body image concerns or past diet culture experiences?

Yes. It’s weight-neutral, non-dieting, and trauma-informed. We focus on nourishment, self-trust, and confidence with food and your body, rather than weight or strict rules.

7. Do you support clients with eating disorders?

No, this support is not suitable for people currently experiencing or suspected of having an eating disorder. These conditions require specialist care. Guidance to appropriate services can be provided.
